Does sock yarn only make socks?

The moment I laid eyes on this Opal yarn, it was game over.
How could I not crochet something with these colours?

So I made a cover-up instead.
Front, back, sleeves, hem .. done in a flash.
When crocheted into clothes, sock yarn gives you the perfect lightweight texture for early summer.
It’s thin, airy, and dries insanely fast after washing. PERFECT !
